Welcome, All People Working for Peace!

Join us to discuss and employ nonviolent means to work towards a more peaceful community and world. The Middlesex Alliance for Peace (MAP) is a member of the national coalition group, United for Peace and Justice. Check out their website at www.unitedforpeace.org. MAP has been active since the run-up to the War in Iraq. I recently became the organizer and made the decision to use "Meet-up" to reach out to new members. Our past activities include helping to staff "Peace" booths at the Durham Fair, organizing letter writing campaigns, attending local and national demonstrations and conferences, fundraising to support peace initiatives, assisting at the "Hope Out Loud" festival, and more. Join us to learn more about the issues and to be a voice of reason in a violent world.
