Wed. Night Runs for New, Slow, or Casual Runners

The Milwaukee Running Group (MRG) is introducing a few runs per week geared towards new, slower, or casual runners. All runners are welcome at any MRG event, but these runs will ensure you'll have a running partner at your pace.

We will headout from the parking lot of Alterra at the Lake (1701 N Lincoln Memorial Dr) for a jog with the group. Then we'll head over to BBC's (2022 E North Ave) for $1.50 burgers and $1 beers! This event corresponds with an existing MRG run that also ends at BBC, so we'll all be able to meet and mingle after our runs.

Generally, we'll run 2-5 miles at paces from 9:30 - 12:00 minute miles. Post your anticipated distance/pace when you sign up!

I believe it will, but will continue at south shore fairly soon. Send Jennifer an email she heads up this run.

Hey Brittany, the last run at Alterra will be this Wednesday (5/8). We're going to move the Wednesday night runs down to Shore Shore Park starting on 5/15. It'll start at the same time, just a new location. Hope to see you there!

I'm having to cancel -- I just have too much work to do this week (presenting at a conference on Friday morning). I look forward to next time and actually getting to go get burgers and beer then too! Thanks to Jennifer for running with me last time!

I "run" at something like a 12:30 pace and am working towards being able to run 4 miles again. So I'll be among the slower ones there.

Maybe 9:30 pace for 4 miles or so. This will be my first meet up! Anyone going about that pace?

New to MKE! I usually do 2-3 at around 10-11 minutes. Nervous but I'll give it a go! :)

I usually go, like, 2-3 miles at about 11-12 minute/mile. It's been awhile though!

Not sure how far or fast I can run as it's been a few months since I last ran. But I am definitely going to try to keep up!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
