Tues. Turtle Run (new, slow, casual)

The Milwaukee Running Group (MRG) Turtle runs are geared toward new, slower, or casual runners. All runners are welcome at any MRG event, but these runs will ensure you'll have a running partner at your pace.

We will headout from the parking lot of Alterra at the Lake (1701 N Lincoln Memorial Dr) for a jog with the group. Generally, we'll run 2-5 miles at paces from 9:30 - 12:00 minute miles. Post your anticipated distance/pace when you sign up!

Sorry, have to stay late at work. I'm just beginning to get back into running and have been using a treadmill at 12 min miles for 2 miles. I don't get tired of running but just get really bored. I'm hoping that running with a group helps that. I'm also afraid that when I get outside and run that I won't be able to keep a steady pace and id go too fast (and tire myself out too quickly). Hope to see you all at another run and any advice to not get so bored so easily and how to keep a steady pace outside would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Amanda - For me, just running outside is much more interesting than running on the treadmill. Plus, having other people to talk to during the run helps time go by more quickly. Hopefully we'll see you at another run!

Hi! I am beginner runner looking at about a 10 min/mile mark. Is this particular one only for women? I don't see any men signed up. Let me know. Thanks.

Hi Balaji - this is a group for both men and women. This time it does look like mostly women are signed up, but usually there is a good mix of men and women. Hope to see you Tuesday!

Thanks Jennifer. I will make the Wednesday run since the 6:30 pm works better for me than the 5:30 pm.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
