Lapham Peak Trail Run and Brunch

Hey everyone, just a few things:

1. Note that we meet in the Evergreen Parking Lot, which is the first lot on the right.

2. We typically run one loop, about 6.5 miles. If you want to run fewer miles, you can turn around at any point. If you want to run further, you can tack on some miles before or after our 9:00 run.

3. It is a state park, so you need a park sticker or day pass, which you can buy as you enter.  Buying a sicker is a good deal if you plan on going to a state park more than 4 times within the year.

4. We always have a 5 minute grace period, so we're off and running by 9:05. If you know you're running a little behind, just post on this page and we'll know to wait for you. We'd hate to leave anyone behind:)

Hi guys, before the run I gave the metal to one of you? Can we continue the tradition and pass it on :) let me know, I think Jaime said she would like to have it be passed on this weekend, I feel terrible that we have not done this... So let me know I can pick it up and pass it in to the next person, thanks :)

I remember. You got it for doing The Limbo so well and then coming out to trail run the next day :-)

No. I was definitely not the best dressed. I usually just wear sweats lol! I don't think you want to drive out of your way to Grafton although you are welcome anytime. :-) The limbo master should there tomorrow morning, but if not my number is (815)[masked] and I live at[masked]th Ave. - Bob

I'm in (seriously this time) but will be starting a little early (8:30) and will not be able to stick around for brunch.

I'd like to run the Bergkonig (Mountain King) race route on Sunday.
This uses part of the Ice Age trail. 3 mile or 6 mile options with lots of vertical.
Race is Sat. 11/9. See info on meetup calendar. Get psyched!

I did that long, evil loop back in August and walked funny for a week. I think I am in worse shape now and could do maybe 4 miles of torture. But if I break off and do less, does that mean I run alone? (That's not fun)
Does anyone else come to this event and not do the whole 6.5 that I can run with?
Also, the title of the event says "brunch", but there's no talk of brunch in the description... what do y'all do for brunch?

Hi Jackie, there are always a variety of paces, and there are always runners (including myself) who are open to running at any pace. You will definitely have running buddies! After the run, we go out for brunch at a local restaurant. Hope you join us!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
