If you are interested in any of the Latin dances: Salsa, Argentine Tango, Bachata, cha cha cha, rumba, merengue or just want to visit friends, meet new ones, and have fun, we welcome you to the group! Class description:

Salsa and Bachata

We cover combinations, cross-body leads, the copa, body isolation, and cuban motion. Learning follow and lead technique is emphasized along with the ins and outs of the salsa turn patterns, footwork, and shines.

Argentine Tango

Their will be an emphasis on Caminadas (walks) and we will master the basic figure 8 step; we will also cover ochos (crossing/pivoting figure), boleos (to throw, keeping knees together, swivel & turn), basic gonchos (hooks), and giros (a turning step), molinete (windmeel).

Advance Tango

Students who have master the basics can begin learning more challenging moves. Things that we will cover include: musicality, barridas (sweeping motions), colgatas (spinning move), engaches (hook wraps), paradas (to stop), and sacadas (displacement of leg or foot, and ) adornos (adornments), such as toe taps and "leg flirting".
