Universal Worship Ordination Service with the Very Reverend Tasnim Fernandez on Sunday
There is a rare opportunity to attend a Universal Worship Ordination Service with the Very Reverend Tasnim Fernandez, an international Dances of Universal Peace and Sufi teacher.
The service is on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 10:15 AM,
18 East Golden Lake Road
Circle Pines, MN 55014 See directions below.
The Universal Worship is a ceremony that rises out of the Sufi teacher
Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan. Representative scriptures of the world religions are placed on an alter with an unlit candle for each. As each candle is lit, its book of scripture is lifted, offered to the Omnipresent God, and a very short reading from that scripture is given.
This Universal Worship is unusual because of the presence of the Very Reverend Tasnim and it is the culmination of a course of seven training weekends that have taken place over the last three years. A number of students will be ordained as cherags or cheragas, which is the title for a minister of the Church of All, the church that celebrates this rite. This is the real deal and cherag/cheragas, once they register with the state are empowered to "Marry and Bury". (To read more about the Very Reverend Tasnim and the Church of All http://www.churchofall.us/)
This rite is a very direct statement of the Unity of Religious Ideals; that all religions lead to God. These celebrations can carry a lot of energy and particularly in an ordination. There will be a short reception afterwards with cupcakes.
A donation of $10 is asked, but as always, if that is a hardship, come anyhow and give what you can. We would love to have you there and take part in this sublime and joyous day.
Tasnim has agreed to return and to offer a 3-weekend series on the Dances of Universal Peace Elemental and Planetary Walks and Turns and also on the relationship of Zikr to the Dances of Universal Peace. This will be foundational for new Sufis and Dances of Universal Peace leaders-in-training whether they are pursuing certification or not. As a musician and artist I use these techniques on a daily basis. As a human being I have found them to be of profound value. I invite you all, whatever path you follow, to take this valuable opportunity to study with a genuine master teacher.
Details to follow as we work them out.
