Cut & Cook

In town this Labor Day Weekend?  Come join us at the September Cut & Cook!

--  We will get together again, have fun and cook a dinner for a great cause: residents of the men’s emergency shelter in Rockville run by the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless.

--  We welcome all ranges of culinary abilities…from professionals to “all I know how to cook is toast, and I usually burn it.”

--  We ask everyone who RSVPs yes to the event, to buy some of the groceries.  We count on eveyone showing up on the day of the cooking event so we can cook the entire meal.  Please RSVP yes if you know you can commit.

We look forward to cooking with you!

I've already sent out a recipe & ingredients list. Take a look under "Discussions" to see what we're doing this week.

Hi Lillian, yes I saw the discussion. Looks great! I'll use the salad for next time.

    Hi everyone,

I won't be able to join the cooking this Sunday, but I am looking at simple recipes. What do you think about a black bean salad and a fruit salad? Should we add anything to that?

I have plans for the early evening but if you are "stuck" and need a 6th to get the job done please email me: [masked]. I can either come for part of the time or pre-cook part of the recipe at home and bring it or drop off ingredients in the morning.

Also see that Harma has posted the pantry list under the "MORE" tab to see if you need any of those items dropped off. Note that there is only one of the rectangular aluminum serving trays--the rest are turkey pans.
