Toro Park Short Hike

  • Jan 8, 2014 · 3:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join us for a one hour hike in Toro Park. Beginning hikers can do this hike; although, the trail has short, steep hills and troughs.

We meet in the dirt parking area outside the park entrance. The pace will be 2 1/2 mph and distance about 2 1/2 miles. The rise will be less than 400 feet.

Directions to Toro Park: From Highway 68 from either the direction of Salinas or Monterey exit Portola. The road from the Salinas exit curls back under Hwy 68. After you execute that manuever the dirt area is to your left at the stop sign. From Santa Cruz exit Hwy 1 at Reservation Road. After about 10 miles turn right on to Hwy 68. Exit Portola.

Charlie's Dad isn't home yet! He was supposed to be here by 2 so that I could go!
Sorry Phil. Better head out without me :(

Hello Everybody, Last time I was hiking in Toro Park I slid down one of those butt buster hills reminded me of the time I took an advance hill on the ski slopes in the Sierra's a while ago. Looking forward to this fun event.

Hi Phil. I will update my RSVP if necessary on the day of the hike. I'm not sure how my day will unfold, as it is Charlie's birthday! Thanks!
