Guidotti Loop - Ft. Ord National Monument 6 Miles

Let's do this weekly no-wait hike again to stay in shape. The trail is 940 feet up and up to 6 miles long. We start at 6:00 PM.

Route: We start at the Fort Ord National Monument parking lot. We will start in the counter clockwise direction on Toro Creek Road. Make a left on to hell hill. left onto Oil well Rd. then a left onto Guidotti Rd. Hike 1-1/2 miles back to the parking lot.

Rain will cancel. Bring lights. Some of the trek may be in the dark if you are incredibly slow.

Driving Directions:  The trail-head is on Highway 68 about a mile south of Reservation Road and a half mile north of San Benancio and across the highway from Toro Cafe. (See our map). You can see a parking area and restrooms from the highway. There is a sign denoting Fort Ord National Monument which you can see as you turn into the entrance road, but cannot see approaching it.

Restrooms on site in parking area.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
