Are you interested in photography and exploring the Monterey Bay under different lighting situations? Are you interested in learning more about your camera or are just dying to try film again using medium format, Polaroid, or Holga Toy Cameras?
About Our Sessions
We meet on the weekends, evenings, and occasionally very early in the morning and late at night to photograph. We also will be holding regular social activities where we may share a meal, swap stories, show off our work, or provide mentoring to teach each other techniques and old world photographic processes. Many of our social events will have optional night shooting sessions.
What do we shoot and where do we go?
You name it: landscapes, seascapes, abandoned warehouses, long duration astronomical shots, urban. We will get up super early to catch the early morning light off Big Sur, explore the Pinnacles, Point Lobos. And sometimes we drive, hike, and/or camp to capture shots. Sounds like fun? Yeah, we think so too!
Who are We?
We are a mix of film only and Digital only photographers. A few of us shoot in medium and large format film cameras (Graflex, Leica, Hasselblads) and are just trying to get out, have fun, learn from one another, and most of all present opportunities to hone our craft. We are a very mellow crew and aren't into being competitive or pretentious.
