Hey... This is Joe Ramsey... I met you at the review session... You were telling me about a film made from slides... I forgot to get the info about it from you... Hit me back and tell if you have a chance... And let me know what that was... Thanks...
This group was started for people who love photography, and want to learn more about taking better pictures.
It is led by Vickie Lewis, a nationally recognized photographer who has shot assignment work for publications and corporations including Coca-Cola, IBM, People, Parade and National Geographic World. She has been freelancing in the Washington, DC area since 1989.
Vickie has a journalism background, and her specialty is creating pictures that tell a story. She has a special talent for shooting people, and has photographed celebrities, politicians, presidents and has a great appreciation for shooting just regular people.
She has written and produced a book, “Side-by-Side: A Photographic History of American Women in War." It was published in 1999 by Stewart Tabori and Chang. She has also photo-edited books for National Geographic, and loves providing insight into making pictures better. Workshops and meetings will range from $25-$75.
“I’m excited to see what people attracted to this group would like to do and learn. I love sharing what I know, and I can get excited about many things, from doing critiques of photos, teaching people how to take pictures at their kid’s sporting events, how to shoot their babies, or doing field trips to shoot monuments at night.”
