Date: Mon, 22 Oct[masked]:33:40 -0400 (EDT)

Announcing a new event for The Montgomery County Photography Meetup Group!

What: A Day at National Zoo.

When: Sunday, November 18, 9:00 AM

Event fee: USD1.00 per person

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Event Description: We will meet in front of the visitor's center at 9:00. First stop will be the Panda exhibit. Bring your telephoto lenses, plenty of batteries, and your tripods, and have fun seeing and shooting the animals and zoo scenes.

The zoo if free. Parking at the Zoo costs $4 for the first hour, $12 for two to three hours, and $16 for more than three hours, but is free for FONZ members. Every dollar you spend at the Zoo?for parking, food, and gifts?supports education, research, and conservation efforts.

To get to the Zoo using Metrorail, take the Red Line train to either the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan station or the Cleveland Park station. Both are about four blocks from the Zoo, but the walk from the Woodley Park station to the Zoo is uphill.

After coming up the escalator or elevator from the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan station, turn around and walk up (north) Connecticut Avenue, away from the restaurants. The Zoo will be on your right at the top of the hill.

If you exit at the Cleveland Park station, take the escalator or elevator to bring you up to the east side of Connecticut Avenue. When you emerge at street level, you should be on the same side of the street as the Metro elevator and a parking lot. Walk down (south) Connecticut Avenue, over the bridge, and the Zoo will be on your left.
