Making and Distributing Vegan Burritos to Homeless People

Every Sunday, a group of people get together to prepare and then distribute entirely vegan burritos to homeless and otherwise troubled people on the streets.

I usually arrive at 3pm - at that time, the ingredients are cooked and ready, and we are usually getting into the actual making of the burritos. The atmosphere is informal. Distribution of the burritos on the street begins at about 4:30pm or 5pm, and lasts about 2 hours.

I can meet you at the nearby metro station at 3pm before entering the building. Everything happens downtown, and goes ahead rain or shine or snow. I will send the details on Friday or Saturday to those who RSVP .

We can only be 3 or 4 people at most from this Meetup, as the kitchen can sometimes get too crowded. So only 'Vegan Rejects' members - no friends or guests - for this Meetup, please.

Please only RSVP if you are sure you'll attend. While I understand that emergencies can come up at the last minute (though rarely), because the spaces are limited for this meetup, I want to avoid people being on the RSVP list for days, only to not follow through at the last minute, as that is not fair to others.

I have no idea if it's the same place you went to before, Kitty, because I don't know where you went before.
I sent you an E mail with the details of where we’ll meet, etc. - so please check your E mail.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
