I'm not. 2000 Toyota Echo Coupe manual with over 450,000 miles. The only changes are KYB GR-2 shocks at each corner, and 10mm wider tires sitting on 14" Miata alloys (the 10lb Enkei's). Other than some mild (and cheap) aesthestic changes and a gutted intake box with a Spectre tube for growl, it's my baby. My current lust-car is a fixer-upper 1974 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV wishing it weren't sitting in an empty lot.
I have 1,000 characters for one word? Sporting, but not extreme. I'm a rev-matching, throttle-blipping manual driver that doesn't feel that all-out grip is as fun as a little looseness. My car is light, and it needs to be revved some, but I like the experience of noise, shifting, and taking the corners smoothly than flat out speed. A car like an old Miata or the new FR-S/BRZ would suit me well. A classic sports car/coupe like an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Datsun 2000 Roadster, or Triumph GT6 would be my idea of fun and a little quirky for a dude my age. A brand new Lambo or Ferrari is just too easy to show off with, which is one reason I'll never let go of my Toyota Echo.
An odd-ball enthusiast, I like my cars a little on the obscure/unloved side. While the wail of an exotic engine gets my blood pumping, a personable car that shows character and something beyond a simple Ebay bodykit can show.
