Night Ride Government Canyon (Mountain Bike) [Intermediate]

We are meeting at Government Canyon for a night time Mountain Bike ride. We will ride the frontcountry trails.  There is a fee of 6.00 to enter the park unless you have an annual state park pass.  Helmet required.  Emphasis- Helmet required on all rides and bring 2 or 3 liters of water for yourself.

This is the night ride. If you are not familiar with this park, if you have not been riding with us, if you are a novice, then today may not be the ride to start.  If you feel confident in your abilities and about riding in the dark and you want to try it out then join us.  We will have stops to let everyone catch up and stay together.  Wear a helmet.   Bring a bike light.

As with any park we mountain bike there are smooth parts and rocky parts and any part that makes you uncomfortable you can walk though it. Make sure you have water, and wear a helmet. When we ride we will have some rest stops along the way to let everyone catch their breath. I will only be there if there are people who RSVP "YES" by the RSVP deadline.

Meet at:

Look for the dark green mountain bike. I will probably be wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. We will meet at the visitor center close to the water tower and bathrooms.

Rain cancels this event.

The deadline to rsvp "Yes" for this meetup is the day before the meetup.

Make sure you have enough water for yourself. I probably carry about 3 liters worth of water for myself.

Sandra I will loan you a light. This is the last sunday before daylight savings time (3/10) and so it will start to get dark at 7:30. Only a few more night rides at Gov. Canyon. Do not buy a light unless you are going to start joining for McAllister night rides.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
