McAllister Park (Mountain Bike)[Beginner+]

We are going to mountain bike at McAllister park. We will ride about 8 to 11 miles. We are  doing the trails immediately around and inside the park.  It should be about 1.5 to 2hours of riding.

Our pace will be between 8 to 12 mph.

This ride will be on mostly dirt trails and some paved areas.   We will meet by the shelter next to the playground.

Here is the usual message:
There are smooth parts and rocky parts and any part that makes you uncomfortable you can walk though it. Make sure you have water, sun block, and wear a helmet. When we ride we will have some rest stops along the way to let everyone catch their breath. I will only be there only if there are people who RSVP "YES" by the RSVP deadline.

The meetup location is the first parking lot on the left after entering from Jones Maltsberger. I will be next to the playground. Look for the dark green mountain bike. I will probably be wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. See you at the park.

Rain will Cancel this Event.

The deadline to rsvp "Yes" for this meetup is the day before the meetup.

I was trying to figure out who everybody was after the ride... I know who Enrique is, but I think I am confused on Eddy and Edward. Which one is Oscar? Who had the 29er? It was great riding w/ you all and I'm looking forward to the next ride. Note to Self - BUG SPRAY

You can check out rei at huebner oaks or ride away bikes they can fix your wheel or sell you a cheap rim or just check Craigslist you might find a good deal. Keep up the motivation and keep practicing that's the only way to get better

Sorry Oscar for turning the light in another direction during your critical ride down the big slope. It really was unintentional. Obviously your great skill and agility saved you from harm. I'm sure that is what happened. I did not see it since you were in the dark. I guess we can say there is a moral to this lesson and thats bring a light. You were at the bottom anyway and there was really only one tree to worry about.

This was not intended as a lesson. I was just writing.

Its one of those days when the bike seemed to get lighter and lighter and it wanted to pedal itself. Very good ride. Good company.

yes Enrique, thanks, I got it..can the water be measured in ounces?...haha!..jk...got the helmet too...a cheap one!....haha!

Hey, Mexico went metric over 20 years ago. The U.S. need to do it also instead of having two measuring systems. I guess I also need to start saying we are riding meters and kilometers instead of miles.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
