This will be a relaxed meetup with a serious goal in mind.
There is a quarter mile stretch of flat smooth pavement right next to this trailhead. The objective is to ride up and down this quarter mile section as fast as you can. With each run trying to hit 40mph.
(The intention is not to see how fast you can accelerate to 40mph. The intention is to see if you are capable of reaching 40mph on a flat surface.
If you don't think you can do 40mph, that's fine. Come out anyway to push yourself and try).
We will begin by warming up with a 12-14mph, 7.5 mile bike ride to the 1604 and back and stretching.
(I am scheduling this for Friday because there will be less people on the greenway since we will be riding at high speeds).
