Salado Creek (Mountain Bike) [Intermediate]

We are mountain biking the Salado Creek Greenway. I expect it will take about 50 minutes to go out and then another 50 to come back. We will be there about 2 hours.  Parking can be difficult at this park sometimes.  Plan on arriving early.

We will begin at the parking lot of Phil Hardberger park.

We will ride at about 8 to 12 mph.

Here is some of my usual stuff:

There are smooth parts and rocky parts and any part that makes you uncomfortable you can walk though it. Make sure you have water, sun block, and wear a helmet. We will be riding for about 2 hours. When we ride we will have some rest stops along the way to let everyone catch their breath. I will only be there only if there are people who RSVP "YES" by the RSVP deadline. The deadline to rsvp is the day before the meetup.

Rain cancels this event.

I will probably be wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. Look for the dark green mountain bike. I will sit on top of the stone tables that are in the center "island" area where the cars drive around. Probably I will be reading a book also. See you at the park.

Excellent ride Enrique! Nice pace too. After the ride i went to see if the sidewalks after Walker park were open and they are not. It looks like they are almost complete. By the way, I'll download the ride later so you can look at it on San Antonio Gravel Grinders site. Check out all the data, you'll like it and it's free. You have the unit, that's the hard part, the rest is free! It's worth it for the maps and calendar alone! Also, sorry we missed Meghan. She missed a great ride.

3 of us were there. We were waiting by the concrete tables that are at the center of the parking area. We waited an extra 10 minutes to 9:40 and then rode the trails. we did not see you.

Sorry, I didnt realize that there were two parking areas in the park and mistakenly went to the other one, but eventually found some really nice single track along Salado north. I'll catch yall next time.

Good ride. Did not feel tired after the ride. Felt tired after eating and the nap at home. Have to use the sunscreen. I feel the slight weak sting of sunburn. Don't want to look like leather. Fun ride.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
