(Road Bike) Leon Creek 24Miles [Beginner Speed] -- Ingram TrailHead

We will begin at the Ingram Trailhead and then follow the Leon Creek Greenway.

This ride will be on the paved areas.  We will ride for about 2 hours or more.  Try to come early because parking and traffic can be difficult at this time of day.  We will meet by the shelter.  The distance is about 24 miles roundtrip.

Our speed will be about 10- 13 mph. We will take a 3 to 4 minute break about every 4 miles. Coming back our speed will be a bit higher.

We are going to ride the sidewalk from Ingram all the way to 1604 and back.  There will be lots of people walking, running, skateboarding, rollerblading, and bicycling so we will need to maneuver around all this.

When we ride we will have some rest stops along the way to let everyone catch their breath. I will only be there if there are people who RSVP "YES" by the RSVP deadline.

Meet at:

We are meeting at the Ingram Trailhead parking lot. It is next to the VIA bus park and ride.
Look for the white and grey road bike. I will probably be wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. See you there.

Rain cancels this event.

The deadline to rsvp "Yes" for this meetup is 1 days before the ride.

Great ride Enrique. Sorry i couldn't stay for the whole thing. I got some video and I'll try and post it up on the San Antonio Gravel Grinders FB page tomorrow. Good group and nice pace. Next time we go we should hit the Amos Climb and the Lazy Susan. We're already there, right?

Why does the map show Midland, Texas if it's here in S.A.?

Have to pick up a friend at the airport at 10pm. Won't be able to ride after all. Will try to make it on the next one. Enjoy!

I'll be on my fat tires, but I'm sure I'll be fine keeping up.

Will I be able to keep up if I bring my hybrid bike?

Yes. I think you can. Last week one rider brought his regular mountain bike and did fine.
