Non-Stop-- McAllister Park -- Beginner Speed (Mountain Bike)

We are going to mountain bike at McAllister park. We will ride about 9 to 11 miles.  We are  doing the trails immediately around and inside the park.  It should be no more than 2hours of riding.   We will try to do this non-stop.  Instead of a stop to rest we will slow down to about 5 mph and coast for about 3 minutes. We will keep riding. We will stop for accidents, flat tires or other mechanical problems, or if your energy is low and you absolutely have to eat something. As we ride If there is any kind of problem or need something then the rider can shout it out.  We will adjust.

Our pace will be about 6 to 10 mph.

Here is the usual message:
There are smooth parts and rocky parts and any part that makes you uncomfortable you can walk though it. Make sure you have water, sun block, and wear a helmet. When we ride we will have some rest stops along the way to let everyone catch their breath.

The meetup location is the first parking lot on the left after entering from Jones Maltsberger. I will be next to the playground. Look for the dark green mountain bike. I will probably be wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. See you at the park.

The deadline to rsvp "Yes" for this meetup is the day before the meetup.

Once again we start out as a beginner ride and then it slowly becomes an intermediate ride. Very nice. Glad everyone did well. I enjoyed when we got to ride the "though the looking glass" region of McAllister park. I am sure I looked very confident leading through that area even though I had no idea where the trails were going. Glad we did not run into the Jabberwock. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jabberwocky#mediaviewer/File:Jabberwocky.jpg

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
