Beginner Ride @ McAllister Park (Mountain Bike)

  • McAllister Park

13102 Jones Maltsberger Rd, San Antonio, TX (map)

    29.560965 -98.459602

  • Look for the dark green mountain bike. I will be next to the playground.
  • We are going to mountain bike at McAllister park. We will ride about 6 to 11 miles. We are  doing the trails immediately around and inside the park.  It should be about 1.5 to 2hours of riding.

Anyone who is new to mountan bike riding can come out today and we will ride gently. Once you get an idea what it is like you can decide if you want to go on longer faster rides. Try it.  Everyone was a beginner and had to start somewhere and we all had to build up our endurance.  Also do not be concerned about whether you are slowing anyone down.  We are there to encourage beginners and we will make stops and we will ride slow and its OK.  Don't worry about it.

    Beginner ride today.

This ride will be on mostly dirt trails and some paved areas.   We will meet by the shelter next to the playground.

    Here is the usual message:
There are smooth parts and rocky parts and any part that makes you uncomfortable you can walk though it. Make sure you have water, sun block, and wear a helmet. When we ride we will have some rest stops along the way to let everyone catch their breath. I will only be there only if there are people who RSVP "YES" by the RSVP deadline.

The meetup location is the first parking lot on the left after entering from Jones Maltsberger. I will be next to the playground. Look for the dark green mountain bike. I will probably be wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. See you at the park.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
