I just wanted to let you know we are hosting another mapping party for OpenStreetMap, the free wiki map of the world, in the South Bay this weekend. If you are interested in learning more or attending, please contact me.
Event details are as follows:
Santa Clara Mapping Party: During the event, participants collect information to put on the map (cycle / hiking trails, natural features, historic plaques, museums, other points of interest) using GPS units we lend out for the day. They then upload the information to our online map.

On Sunday we will be meeting on a bike ride to improve the Sunnyvale bike map in OpenStreetMap. We will focus on getting all of the local cycle lanes and bike amenities onto the map.
