Join Atlanta’s Social Philanthropists at The Monthly Mixer

We are the SOCIAL branch of The Action Not Words Project, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit that provides resources to those temporarily under-financed in the Greater Atlanta area and the Dominican Republic. We believe that ordinary people can do extraordinary things!!

We are joined this month by the Founder and Owner of Geechie Gurl, Inc, Erica Alcox as the inaugural event for  her “4040 Celebration Series”, 40yrs of life in 2012...40 events that give back to the community! Erica is active in the non-profit arena in Atlanta and Charleston, South Carolina. http://www.GEECHIEGURL.com

The theme for February is “Love in Action…Taking It to the Streets". February can be a very disturbing time for those without palpable love in their lives. You see them daily; women, men, children who will not receive roses or chocolates to remind them of their worth.

Last year we collected items to boost the self-esteem and self-love of those living on the streets, in shelters or other temporary housing. The collection of travel-sized toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, sample mouth wash, lotions, small jewelry, sample perfumes, and chocolates and candy were packaged in small bags and handed out as portable “Love”! The experience was life changing for many that day. A small token of Love can mean so much for those with so little.

We are doing the same this year and providing bags to Auburn Neighborhood Senior Center, Genesis House and local group homes.

The date for delivery is February 10, 2012

You may already have some items in a drawer, the back of the closet or collecting dust under your sink.
Maybe you picked up some samples from a hotel on your last business trip,
or maybe the last time you went to the mall you received some perfume samples or you might have a great connection that can supply thousands of samples! We would love that!!

Get your stuff together and bring them out to Indigo Bar January 31, 2012 beginning at 6pm. The Crew worker bees will then package everything and have bags ready for delivery on Feb. 10th.

Indigo Bar is Atlanta’s newest rooftop bar and lounge. The view is spectacular, located in the historic Old Fourth Ward area. We always have a great time and welcome newcomers.

Come out and see how The Crew actually “Moves Something”!

See you there!
