Guest Speaker-Raffle-Kent Digital Photo Club

John Radigan http://www.adklight.com or his business http://www.adkpi.org
"The making of an artwork entails the artist’s struggle with his own limitations and those of his tools, in the creation of a symbol representing a confluence of spiritual and emotional states-of-being and life experience. As the resulting symbol is of such a personal nature, I feel that a total awareness of its implications is available only to the artist."

Letter from Nik Software contact Jerry met at Photoshop World this summer-
"I've cc:ed Zach to give you a hand with a raffle prize for the meeting and a discount code for 15% off. You can offer a specific prize (e.g. HDR Efex Pro 2) or offer a "winner's choice" where the winner can select one of our 6 products."

All this and more…show up at 6:30pm and enjoy an amazing evening with John, Jerry and the rest of the Kent Digital Club members.

..a beautiful presentation! It's amazing how all our presenters capture the beauty of the world, but each can reveal a different personal artistic expression of it. John shared not only the glory of the Adirondack Mountains, but the gentle caress of whispered color concealed in the clefts of nature.

I bought the Nik filter package at last years Photoshop Expo and it is well worth it. It's really cool that you can go to the Kent Digital Club meeting and be in the raffle to walk away with one of the Nik filters and get a discount on all the rest.

It IS cool! Many thanks to Nik Software for contributing this prize! I hope to use the program I've chosen to the best of my ability--and then improve!

John's work was magnificent. In an era where many people are tempted to use post-processing as a crutch, it is great not only to see the evocative and poetic images of nature he is creating, but to understand that he is using understanding of technique to do it. Using simple things like moving the camera, soft focus, zoom, and double exposure, he's coming up with work that rivals or surpasses the efforts of admittedly-skilled artisans . . . who would go into withdrawal if separated from thier post-processing software. Many thanks to Mr. Radigan for coming to speak with us and share those delightful images!

A NIK filter package costs about $100.00 so get to the meeting and get a few tickets and take home a great prize. And the speaker is worth at least that much!
