I have been an amateur photographer and enthusiast for decades and have owned a Nikon for much of the digital era.
Forever - or almost forever. Nikon has been the only D/SLR I have owned. I also own a small Nikon which came with an underwater housing.
I own a Nikon D-200 and a number of Nikon zoom lenses and one Sigma fixed focal length macro lens
I do portraits and some studio and street and nature.
How to improve technique and aesthetics - and how to maximize my skills in using equipment I own. I also do a lot of editing using Aperture and other software and would like to improve my skills.
A gazillion years ago, my dad owned a Contax - and it appeared that Contax owners migrated to Nikon (whereas Leica owners migrated to Canon). [Kind of like Brooklyn people migrated to Long island and Bronx people to Westchester.) Now I have lenses and am used to the general design features.

Hello Joel , I am glad to see that you have joined the Backpack studio junkies . Like you , I have a passion for photography especially with the implementing of the off camera flash in a non studio environment . The purpose of this group is to bring photographers of all levels together to exchange ideas and to express them in this medium of photography. And last but not least to have fun while making our great images and to make a new friend or two on the way .
Welcome to Light Club, Joel! Happy to have you! And thank you so much for your help again although it turned out to be a bit to pricey. I appreciate it.
