I have stenosis & osteoarthritis in my cervical spine, running form C 3/4 through C 7/T1. Additionally, I have disk herniation in my lumbar at L4 & L5. My pain radiates through my entire back & into my upper legs & arms. It is worst in my right-side neck & shoulder blades into the mid back, & in my right, lower back, most acutely in a re-occurring nerve injury between the herniated discs in my lumbar--something like a pinched nerve. When this phenomena occurs-about every three-six months-my pain scale is a constant 9, for about 5 to 7 days, until it heals.
Abiut 15 years.
I am treating my pain with opioid therapy; physical therapy (when I can tolerate it); talk therapy; meditation & cursing a lot. I try to keep myself either engaged or distracted.

Hi, I am Andrew; I live Brooklyn, & am 45 years of age. I can only work sporadically due to my spinal & pain condition. My last full-time job was almost three years ago. I do my best to stay engaged & participate in my life & the world outside me.
