The December Brown NYC Meetup

Come one come all!

The Brown University Meetup is back on DECEMBER 12th!

Enjoy short presentations by recent and not-so-recent Brown graduates at our casual classroom-style hour long meetup.

The Shape the World Your Way Edition:

Fix Business Journalism! Provide Cardiac Care for Children! Spearhead Technology Investment in New York City! Join the Brown Meetup! (kidding!)

Maha Rafi Atal - Co-Founder and Executive Director of Public Business, a nonprofit creating a new model for business journalism. Her recent profile of Christine Lagarde was featured on the cover of Forbes.

Mike Littenberg-Brown - Co-Founder and Chairman of  the Young Leadership Program of Save a Child's Heart and Board Member of Save a Child's Heart U.S.

Owen Davis - Managing Director of NYC Seed, the investment fund that paved the way for today's New York digital media startup investment boom.

And announcing a musical holiday cameo by special guest Sean Altman '83, Rockapella founder and creator of JEWMONGOUS, the comedy song sensation the LA Times called "tuneful and sharply witty." Now on tour!

Snacks, refreshments, and name-tags will be provided.

(note: We are processing the usual $5 fee for food/venue expenses online via credit card this time. Collecting at the door wasn't working and poor Jono has been covering the difference from his own pocket. Thank you for understanding and please let us know if you encounter any issues!)

This was a great event, a fun and informal way to get together with fellow Brown alums and learn about new and interesting subjects. Thank you Jordan and Jon for inviting me to speak about Save a Child's Heart. I enjoyed speaking and especially enjoyed hearing the other presentations!

Thanks for a great evening. The presentations were very informative, and I loved Sean Altman's interludes.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
