I really enjoyed last nights activity. I do have one suggestion for next month. If it is possible to create some sort of "sped dating" style in which we are paired and take 1-2 minutes to interact with each other. This way we get a fair chance to meet all. Last night was so packed that you had to strategically positioned yourself to speak with people, I believe that a "speed dating" format would work better when a crowd this size is in such a limited space. It would be a more organized and fair experience. Once again thank you Ilana for such great receptions.
    •  Since so many people showed up at the meeting it was very good opportunity to have business networking. However, it was impossible to talk to all the people about my product at the event, I just thought that it would be more productive if the event was a little more organized or at least give 1 minute to people about their service or product to the group. thank you.....
    •  this event had very good attendance & a good cross section of business's represented. I would have liked it if each person got 30 seconds to talk to the group about why they were there.

The NYC Business Networking Group hosted over 110 people at our first networking event of 2009. We are not going to let this economy get us down and from the number of attendees at the event, it seems most of you agree. We hosted our first event at Capital One Bank so please contact them if you need help growing your business. We were also sponsored by The NY Enterprise Report, Tribeca Health & Fitness and the Tribeca Performing Arts Center. We raffled off 3 wonderful prizes and provided food and refreshments. The space was a little crowded but we were happy for such a great turnout. We'll be going back to our "Pitch" format in March as well as doing more open events like tonight. Thanks to all of you for attending.

So many more people than I expected, and so many different businesses represented. Ilana is always a great host, she can remember everyone's name and profession, and she makes sure people in related fields are meeting each other.
    •  Well organized. Interesting people
    •  Energy in the room was high with people who really want to make connections to do business. I met a few individuals I'd like to think are potential clients in addition to those who seem like valuable resources for services. This was a great first experience. Thanks to the organizer.

Last night was my first time attending an event for this meetup, I thought it was excellent. We host meetings and networking events that have speakers and dinner included and they tend to run too long, last night was perfect. I spoke to 6 or 7 good solid contacts, if I can do that each time I will be very happy. Thanks again and I look forward to the next event!
