Apply Now! The Workshop at Macy's For Minority & Women Owned Businesses

The Workshop at Macy’s is an exclusive retail vendor development program designed to give select high potential minority and/or women business owners the tools to better succeed and sustain growth in the retail industry.

Now Accepting Applications for the Spring 2014 Class

Macy’s is the Great American Department Store – an iconic retailing brand with about 800 stores operating coast-to-coast and online at macys.com. We offer powerful assortments and the best brands, tailored to each and every customer with obvious value, engaging service and unforgettable moments. Clearly, Macy’s is distinctly different from other major retailers.

With 2012 sales of $27.7 billion, Macy’s has a long history of innovation in business. We’re continually looking for new ways to delight the customer, deliver value and build sales and profits, and we’ve long been recognized for our commitment to fostering the growth and development of our vendor resources, including minority- and woman-owned enterprises.

We constantly look for qualified new vendors of goods and services and we strongly encourage interest from potential vendors through our nationally recognized Vendor Diversity Program, which is open to U.S.-based minority- and woman-owned enterprises.

To help achieve this goal, our latest innovation is The Workshop at Macy’s, an exclusive retail vendor development program designed to give select high potential minority and/or women business owners the tools to better success and sustain growth in the retail industry. And it works. The first vendors to graduate from the Workshop at Macy’s began launching lines in Macy’s stores in May 2012, others have followed, with more to come. See their success stories to find out more about the impact this program can have on your business.

To help us identify the best candidates for participation in this groundbreaking program, we’re now accepting applications for the next Workshop class, which will be held in May 2014. To apply for this program, described as “life-changing” by past participants, review the eligibility requirements andsubmit your application before 11:59 p.m. EST on February 2, 2014.

And the program is free. Yes, you read that right. To learn more and get details on how to apply, read the program overview.
