Into the Abyss: New Frontiers in Deep Sea Exploration

Hundreds of people attend this public event, sponsored by AMNH. Seating is very limited (maybe 100 seats?) and we will not be sitting together. Most people end up standing during the lecture - to get a seat, you'll need to arrive at AMNH no later than 6:30.

The event is free. Tickets are not required - registration is not required.

I will not be able to find you in the crowd. It is your responsibility to find me, if you'd like, and introduce yourself. I will be standing toward the front of the auditorium on the right-hand side.

The actual lecture usually starts at around 7:00pm and goes until 8:00pm, then there is Q&A. There is a cash bar at the event.

SciCafe: Into the Abyss: New Frontiers in Deep Sea Exploration

Join Museum Curator John Sparks and Research AssociateDavid Gruber (CUNY) for an undersea adventure as they describe their latest field expedition exploring pristine reefs, inky black depths beyond the reach of sunlight, and underwater volcanoes off the coast of the Solomon Islands.
