Guess What? We're Going to Montauk!

Just in case your butt wasn't going to be sore enough going to the Rockers Reunion way the hell up in CT on Sunday, you can now ride out to Montauk and back on Saturday...

Instead of asking people to meet in the East Village as originally planned, I'm going to suggest we all meet at the Mobil Station in Manorville just off of Exit 70 on the LIE (495) between 10:00 and 10:30am. Too many people are coming from too many different directions to reasonably expect everyone to come into the city first, so let's all just meet at a point that's already out there instead.  At 10:30am we'll do the "kick stands up" thing and go.

At the Manorville Mobil there is a Cumberland Farms convenience store for coffee and some quick empty calories, and you can fill up again before going all the way out to the East End. There is a back roads route that goes thru North Sea, Noyack, and Sag Harbor that misses most of the Hamptons congestion along 27. Just follow me... ;o)

If any of you guys are coming from Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens and want to connect for the run out the LIE, please feel free to coordinate that between yourselves.

Don't forget your EZ-Pass.

The bag is safe and so I am. Its that special motorcycle weekend eclectic combination of dirty socks, t-shirts and a Nikon camera. With a toothbrush thrown in for good measure. Hope you guys had a good time. It was a bit of a long day, wasn't it?

Might I suggest a great ride for the group. The Andiamo Run Sept 7. Starts in Haworth, NJ. Completely police escorted. They shut down every intersection so ride proceeds uninterrupted - even back and forth across the GWB. Check it out at http://www.andiamorun.com/rideinfo.htm.

Grant, I honestly have no idea when we will get back. If you need to leave early to get back to work I'd give myself at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours lead time.

Well its a great ride for the long island folks if we get clever and avoid the holiday traffic(cuz we all know how easy that is with the LIE) - not locked into the ride but it sure is beautiful out there. . . .

Labor Day Weekend seems like a perfect time to ride out about as far as you can go on Long Island without getting your feet wet. What could possibly go wrong? At least it's Saturday and the traffic crush going back will be on Monday.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
