I've decided I am coming up for the day only. I will meet you all at Panera. I will have a day pack and other than my water and snack for lunch not packing in anything else. That leaves me room to pack others supplies if you need me to.

One of her comments says that the group will be in main cabin, possibly meaning the lodge instead of hostel. Lodge serves dinner, breakfast, which is why she quotes $35, additional...my guess....until she clarifies, prepare to be hunter-gatherers...my fellow neanderthals....haha

Pamela this is a moderately strenuous hike, there are lots of stairs to climb upon...one mile down into cabin area, and a hard hike back out...if you have knee pain, i would think about going...do not want to deter you any way but just a warning...
This Saturday hike is a good 4 miles and rated moderately strenuous also, if you can make it then Charit Creek will be fine...
