Thank you Susan! I was scared the group lifted me up and I was fine. This trip I saw amazing character traits - courage from Linda (1st time Kayaking on a river and she picks the most difficult ones!!! wow!), fortitude from Rick K (despite the inability to stay in a Kayak and the onset of hypothermia was a consistently positive and fun companion), leadership from Rick F, humor from ("are those boobs?!?") Keith H, kindness and grace from Beth and Keith and helpfulness from Cole and youthfulness from the teen girls which made me smile. bravery from Sue (in case you don't know it she can't swim), aptitude from the newly crowned Capn' Laura who never fell out of her kayak (how did that happen???) and the always quietly helpful and valiant Vlad. the fun and loving Johnny and the joyful, even in the face of difficulty and stress, Roy and of course the forever nurturing Susan. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the trip.

    only wish Ana had stayed.

    Thank you to all.

It was quite a trip. We have managed to block one lane on highway 24 for awhile. Someone saw flying kayaks… :-0. We had to deal with “undercover” rough looking speed enforcer and his lady, equally “rough looking” in a mustang… Rick, apparently, find it easier to get out of a kayak going into very cold water numerous times than getting out of a chair sitting around a fire. :-0…. Nice one Keith. We need to start recording those one liners. . I would like to thank Susan and Johny for making it happened. Johny, Keith and Keith, and another Rick, I am probably fogetting someone, for helping others. One or couple of you was always around  It was nice to see everybody navigating dificult waters at Nantahala. This is probably as tough as it gets for most of us. It was fun.

Would you please email me or post an itinerary for all 3 days so I know what to pack based on the activities planned. Also, I get rewarded at work when I participate in activities so I need to know how many hours we will be paddling so I can go ahead and post that info on our company website before the Sunday deadline.

    Thank you!

Susan Keith Patterson is a colleague of mine from work. He his wife and two children ages 16 and 15 are who is referances. Keith the day we do the Nantahala I would suggest your family either raft(4 to a raft) it without a guide or use duckies vs. kayaking it.
