What a super time with a Super group. This was the most unpredicted run I have been on so far. Adjustment had to be made with only seconds for preparation. Everyone did excellent adjusting to the demands of the water flow. Extra kudos to Jonathan for his expertise in keeping us aware of the route and best technique on entering and exiting. Susan, as usual was??? Momma, she was so impressive running point and knew the river like the back of her hand. Again, she asembled a group, and left fun and exciting memories for all of us to carry and be proud of for years to come. This sport is just one of those great memories we can share but only us as individuals have inplanted in our memories of all the little Great moments we shared on this river trek. Thank each and everyone of you for making my weekend a Super Weekend

Update: jimmy is already there And double checked with the outfitter. Apparently the schedule jimmy found on the Internet was wrong, outfitter says 2 generators will start at 11 am. We'll go straight to the put in when we get there and meet you guys there at 12:30.

Paris you in no way need a helment for this river it is nothing like the NAN. I hate I wont be there with this fun crew and some of Joanns special treats and of course Susans meals. The Nan. is calling one last time for this season. Jeff and I will be foraging for food and living on slim jims and pringles.

      September 23

  • Carol W.

Hey 2 things... I think Elle and I are going to meet up with the caravan on 840 coming out to 24. It just makes more sense than driving all the way to Hendersonville and then back in, when we both live in Spring Hill. Well have to get a phone # and find out time from Hendersonville to that exit and when you guys leave, etc. Also. Do you have a schedule (flexible or whatever) of what our days/nights are going to have planned? My daughter keeps asking and I'd love to give her something to have so she knows where I am ish :)

    September 23

    • Susan

my cell[masked], I'm hoping to leave my place no later than 6:15ish,,,heading towards I-24E to Reliance TN., cell phone does not work at campground too well...our schedule will be as follow: asap after arrival unload then head to river, run it once if time allows perhaps we can run it again...if not then simply relaxing and unwind etc., Sunday there are some of us who'll be heading to Bryson NC (90 minutes drive)for Nantahala gear sales,,,this is a huge weekend for NOC...vendors, kayakers looking to unload extra gear...for those not going we will have another run on river, after breakfast...after run, pack up head on home unless some want to run it again....

    Susan,
I want to go on this trip, but I need to drop someone at the airport ~6:00AM on Saturday. Is the 6:00AM meetup time somewhere in Nashville or at Hiwassee? Also, I would like to rent a duckie if you still have one available. Are helmets recommended, available for rent?

    September 14

    • Laura K.

6am is the time to meet at Susan's in Hermitage. You could easily catch up on the road there.

      September 14

    • Susan

Hi Steve, thats correct 6:00 am is to meet at my place, then we can carpool if needed, i'm just about 5 miles from airport...can wait for you if you like, at this time I do not have any duckie there's a sit on top kayak available,,,if you are an experience kayaker...you are welcome to use it, Hiwassee is a gorgeous river and fast flow water,,,if you want a duckie contact outfitter and rsvp for one...helmet is a personal choice, i have helmet if want one...if you can't meet at my place,,,just use outfitter address...as Laura said you can easily catch us on I-24E...
