Swim-yes. Kayak-yes, but just to goof around for an hour or 2. Lessons can never hurt. Water safety skills, yes - stay above the surface! I LOVE to back country backpack. Enjoyed doing that with my boys, but they have competing interests now, and I really want to continue with developing my skills and reducing my pack weight.... Truthfully, my dream is to plan a trip to Canada (my home) and canoe/kayak and camp the Algonquin National Park area for a week - 10 days sometime in the next couple years. It is really the best place for a continuous water trip with portages and camping where you are likely to never see another person. It will require open water kayak experience and extensive planning, like any trip right. It is SO beautiful there, and can be a real challenge for the most experienced outdoorsman.....
Loaded question man!
I like to try anything new, old, different. Yes I would consider posting/organizing an event, when the moment struck me.
Online. I was a member several years ago.....but seemed to lose track of it with phone changes, and didn't reload the app.
Outdoor enthusiast that has desperately tried to stay connected to the outdoors while raising a family for the last 15yrs. Boys are older now and its time for the wife and I to get out there!
