Nashville Outdoor Adventures Club Message Board › COOL/COLD WEATHER PADDLING GEAR
Hello everyone, this info goes out to those new members who may not have cool or cold weather paddling experience. As the days grow shorter, the air temperature at night is getting cooler. This also means that water temps are slowly beginning to drop as well. Fall is a great time to get on the water but you need to be prepared.
Please carry an extra set of clothes in your kayak when the temps drop outside. You will notice that all our salty veterans make it a habit to carry an extra set of clothing in their boats. Cool water and cool air can bring on hypothermia much faster than you think. So take a few minutes and pack some dry clothing in you dry bag. See you on the water ;)
