Wish I could offer them a home, but we have a full house. Sending a little donation to the cat hospital though.

Good luck :)

Subject: UPDATE -Badly burned kitty, Kenai needs donations + home - Warning graphic picture

After 3 weeks at the Cat Hospital getting excellent care, Kanai is being released today. He is doing much better (see update from Dr Perkins dated 11/23 below) The 3rd picture is from 11/23 which shows improvement. He does need more donations to cover his bill and most important he and his brother Cuz will need an indoor home. Poor baby cant go back on the street. If you can help with either, Please contact me at [masked] or contact the Cat Hospital to make a donation. Many thanks to all who have already sent a donation. Please forward to find them a home!  He is in Metairie LA.
Thank you so much
Anastasia
Hi Everyone,

VERY GRAPHIC PHOTOS.
These brothers,Cuz  and Kenai, haven't had much luck. They were adopted together prior to Katrina. The woman moved away and left them outside. They survived Katrina outdoors and for the last six years they were at least being fed.  Unfortunately Kenai was stuck in a shed that caught on fire. It's a miracle that he survived because it was not even was it known that he was stuck in the shed, he was not found until five days after the fire. He suffered severe burns and has been hospitalized for three weeks.

If anyone can offer these 2 brothers an indoor home please call me at 504 462 -1968

Any donation, no matter how small, is very much appreciated.

Hi, Ms. Crider,
Thought I'd share Kanai's progress with you. Here is a picture from today, 11/23. The wounds are shrinking down and healing, his face is less swollen and he's opening his eyes better, and he's eating much better (he'd initially eaten some for us then stoped for a while, but he's started back up eating on his own). Walking around on his feet, purring, meowing, tolerating his treatments, which include laser therapy, much better.

Kenai and his brother Cuz were abandoned by their owner on Civic st  a few years ago and kind neighbors have been feeding them. Last Thursday night here was an electrical fire in a shed behind the house where they are fed in a clothes dryer. Kenai was not seen for several days and a kind lady went and looked in the remains of the burned shed and found poor Kenai. He had been laying there for 5 days very badly burned. She was kind enough to take him to the ER even though she couldn't afford to and I was contacted the next afternoon and went and got him and rushed him to the Cat Hospital Wed afternoon. He is being treated and on pain meds and looks like he will make it with a lot of care and TLC. Any donation amount will be extremely appreciated toward his medical bill and later on I will be asking if anyone can give him and his brother a real home. They love each other very much and I know his brother must be grieving for him, not knowing if he is okay.

Donations can be sent or called in to the the Cat Hospital address and phone below. Thank you very much in advance.

Here are pictures of Kanai.  His wounds are pretty graphic, so you may need
to advise those who get the e-mail about that.  You can see his whiskers are
singed and that his ears are severely affected.  His eyes are closed because
of an ulcer in his left eye, and of course the burns/swelling around both
eyes.  The only other burns are on all his paw pads.

But he's trying his best to be a sweet boy!

Best,
Amanda
