Two more kittens, this time, it seems that they jumped to safety. I called and asked Margie to look around after work and leave some food.

The Sgt who answered the call was there in minutes.  He didn’t see the orange one and looked very well.  He called for backup – stopped traffic – tried to get the black one.  Blackie ran up the bridge, got on the railing, and jumped off.  They watched him as he hit the bottom (ground), he rolled a little, and got back up and ran some more.  This guy loves cats and really wanted to save him but he wasn’t having any part of it.  He assures me that the orange one is no longer up there and there is no dead kitten up there either.  That’s all that I can do at this point except to pray for them.

Going up the bridge ramp from WB to the EB.  The first orange tabby was hugging the LEFT wall, still going UP, before the other traffic starts merging in.  Just past that area, on the RIGHT wall was a little black kitten hugging the wall, just up a ways from the first kitten.  They were weak looking but alive.  If I had had time, I would have found a way to pull over at some point and go get them myself.  I just want to make sure the officer really did get help for them. They looked to be about 5 weeks or so.

2. LA ( Metairie ) Kittens and Cats Need TNR at Mariott - located in the Lakeway Athletic Club Parking Garage (6th and Causeway)

Contact: [address removed]

If anyone can do TNR there, please let me know and contact me for more info at [address removed]

The cats and kittens come out at night. A woman is feeding them at 7:30 pm nightly by the Causeway but the cats and kittens are located in the Lakeway Athletic Club parking lot. She started feeding 4 cats, now there are several litters and at least 2 of the kittens were run over. I and another person she called spoke with this feeder and she will not cooperate and she hung up the phone both times.

Diane,
Can you please post for TNR?  There are some Cat families living by Royal Honda (near Rooms To Go on Vets) that need TNR.  When I was there Saturday I saw a momma and her tiny gray kitten. The sales person said they actually have a few families living near the dealership. I tried to get the kitten, but he was very fearful.

Thanks,
Erin

Subject: Hi Cherie

We have been trying to trap 2 baby kittens that were dropped on Veterans Blvd last Sunday night (or that's when I first saw them at 11:00 pm). They are in a bush in the middle of Vets at the intersection of Lake Ave. You may have seen emails about it. Anyway, I go out every evening with 2 kitten traps, and have had a trapper and a cat friend join me a few nights, but no luck yet. The traffic is terrible and so noisy right next to their bush constantly. Must be so traumatic. I leave food after trying to trap each night, and it is always eaten. I was there to 3am Saturday night, no luck. I stopped at the red light last week Sunday, and I saw a baby orange kitten on the curb very close to terrible traffic, frozen in fear. Pulled over to try to catch him, as did the driver behind me, and we had to cross busy Veterans on foot, but kitten ran into the bushes, and then we saw a 2nd one, a gray and white baby, who also escaped into the bush! So there are 2. We have seen the orange one a few times last week, a neighbor saw him in the day, and someone else saw one and reported to Diane Mitchell.   [a trapper] was with me Saturday before midnight. She is contacting Jeff Dorson about getting professionals to trap or rescue them somehow, because this is such a difficult location and dangerous. They won't come out with all the noisy traffic -- maybe 3-4 a.m. is best to trap. Do you think I should also contact Jeff Dorson? Wish we could bring them to safety asap.

Daphne

Thnx Diane for getting back to me. I have been responsible For spaying and neutering the six cats and for feeding them. I was helped by a lady from a generous group who helps with TNR. Anyway I have been feeding them ever since ... I am running a summer camp for children with autism and the owner of the school and her son both have compromised immune systems And she feels that it is risky having the cats around .. and they're afraid of any contact with them even though they're feral. It is urgent that I relocate them I have no problem having them relocated to where I live because I can take better care of them there. Because of my compassion and the stress that I feel For having to hide feeding them I need to do Something immediately about this. Otherwise I believe my job would be on the line... What I need Are traps and I need instruction how to keep them inside or contained for a while until I can release them. I have a small back room pantry Kind of room at home that if they all can stay in there until I release them that would be fine. Otherwise I may be able to find somewhere else with a trusted person who I can relocate three of them and separate the colony into two groups. I hate doing all of this but it is necessary. I don't have another option to feed them away from that place without being found out that I'm still feeding them. I have tried to contact the people that helped me before and it seems that they're all involved in other projects right now so they cannot help me at this moment. Even if I get the traps I can do this on my own if need be I am that desperate. I would like to keep my job not lose because of this and also see that the cats Are safe and fed. Everyone will be happy . Any Advice or help or traps That I can borrow would be greatly appreciated.

I found her sitting in a cat haters driveway looking very sad .No mom or other kittens around anywhere .I looked under his shed and asked neighbors. If this man had seen her he would kill her or let his dog get her. Luckily he wasn’t home. She is so purrfect, very friendly and sociable, just stays in your lap, purrs, makes biscuits and loves to play. I must find her a good indoor home as soon as possible. Please forward this, email or call me at[masked] to meet this precious baby.

Two lost cats in Mandeville. *REWARD PLEASE HELP US* (MANDEVILLE) –

image 1
Sometime over last weekend (June 21,22,23) our two cats went missing from Old Golden Shores . They are indoor/outdoor cats and tend to lay in the grass by the road. One is a 16 year old, spunky male cat. He is a black short hair, has grey hair on his chest, a little kink at the end of his tail (can't see it but you can feel it). His name is Toulouse . He has a lot to say and will talk to you all day. His ears have a lot of scars from being a young Tom cat. The other is our 11 year old girl. She is a nebelung which is a long haired, blue/grey colored breed. She is extremely audible, and easily aggravated. She also has a very distinctive feature as well; her left ear looks like it is a strange swollen lump.

I am offering a reward in return of my cats. Please if you have seen them call me at[masked]-2311.
