This is the monthly meeting location for the Aspiring Comic Creators to hang out with like minded and creative individuals.

Attendees must order something so that we do not offend the hosting establishment.

If your going to be late no problem. We are usually here until midnight and later.

We will be on the 2nd floor.

(If you see a section closed sign at the base of the stairs it does not apply to you so just head right on up.)

A new men's entertainment magazine run out of New York, NY, launching at NY Comic Con in October 2013, is looking for talented up and coming comic book illustrators to contribute to our publication. An ideal candidate is someone who has great talent in comic book illustration from concept to completion and can provide three (3) samples of their work. More specifically looking for artists who will work with us on an ongoing basis and who can grow with our magazine.

I am also looking to connect with illustrators interested in a three page monthly comic series that will be included within our magazine. If you are a talented artist/illustrator looking for an opportunity to showcase your work on a national level while building your credentials within the comic book industry and would be interested in contributing to DAAMinc Magazine, please send your info and samples to [masked].

My life is fairly comical. It would n't be difficult to turn into a scrip.

An interesting read whether you agree with it or not.

I stick with the old saying "I don't know art but I know what I like". It's also more important that the art style compliments the story. But I do think people should develop their fundamentals before they settle on a style. Especially if you want to get noticed copying someones established style to a T isn't going to get you far.

Would to know about the creative process comic creators go through. I want to supplement writer's website with occasional original cartoons that support the message.
