I started this meetup because comic books/graphic novels have had a resurgence in popularity recently with the movie, t.v. and video game adaptations. The technology of the last five to ten years has made it possible for the independent creators to go forward on their own via web comics with greater accessibility to their content with current mobile devices and not limited by the established distribution system.
