Introduction to FPGAs -- Lab/"Office Hours"

  • Are you a beginner to FPGA development? Have you been wanting to learn some basic Verilog, and how to use the tools to get a design from source code into the FPGA?

  • At our last meetup, we went over the basics of how to use the Altera tools to develop software for FPGAs. This time, instead of having a prepared talk, we will have several experienced FPGA developers, who can help you debug your software installation, answer questions about Quartus and Modelsim, and teach you introductory Verilog.
  • If you didn't make it to the last Meetup but are still interested, feel free to come, and we'll catch you up!
  • Note that you'll need to bring a laptop to this event to participate. Please install the software described here: http://www.meetup.com/The-New-York-FPGA-Users-Group/messages/boards/thread/28677962/#[masked]

Hey David, just to make sure, is this at the West Bway building, or at the 100 ave Americas building? Last time IIRC we were at the W Bway building. The meetup shows the 100 ave Americas.

Correct--this meetup is at our other building, which is located at 100 Avenue of the Americas. See you soon!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
