We'll cap off the summer and our first anniversary celebration with our third pub crawl, this time exploring the Financial District of lower Manhattan, specifically the Stone Street/Pearl Street neighborhood.
This neighborhood and its many pubs are bustling with Wall Street office workers during the week, but have a much more decidedly laidback vibe on the weekend, when we'll be checking it out.
We're upping the ante this time by scheduling up to 8 pubs, more than we've ever tried before. So we'll have to pace ourselves, myself included, if we're to complete the circuit.
We'll start things out with a carvery lunch outdoors at Ulysses on the cobblestones of Stone Street.
From there, we'll make our way down the cobblestones to The Growler craft beer bar and its underground cocktail bar The Underdog, then on to Stone Street Tavern, The Dubliner, and Beckett's Bar & Grill. The exact order may vary.
But wait, there's more as we swing back around to Pearl Street to visit the Killarney Rose and finally, The Full Shilling.
Eight pubs, eight or more hours, hopefully more than eight people. Suffice to say, we'll be finishing the summer with an exclamation point, so hope you'll be able to join in the craic as we celebrate our first year as a meetup and look to more good times at the pub.
See you there!
