This talk introduces the basic concepts of MongoDB, a document-oriented database, and the Perl MongoDB API. We will use MongoDB and Mojolicious::Lite to put together a simple web-based library application. When we're done, you will have a good sense of how MongoDB differs from traditional relational databases and what kinds of projects are possible.
Those who wish to follow along should have Mojolicious::Lite and MongoDB.pm installed, and have basic familiarity with git and github. (A github repo URL will be provided prior to the meetup.)
