Seed Exchange - Meet n Greet

Hello fellow gardeners, rooftop enthusiasts and everyone else.

Is everyone sick of snow and ready for spring time?

It can’t come fast enough for me and in preparation for the growing season and Leslie and I are working on our 2014 calendar. We have a lot of things in the works and we’d like to kick off 2014 with a Meet n Greet / Seed Exchange.  This is a great time to meet your fellow roof-garden enthusiasts, and pickup seeds and tips for the 2014 growing season.

As this is a “Seed Exchange” please bring extra seeds, cuttings, seedlings – anything you want to share.  (Ok –it’s a little early for cuttings…).  I'm ordering some ground cherry seeds and special super hearty tomato varieties that rooftop farmers grow in Chicago.

Leslie has offered coffee to wake us up. Feel free to bring anything else to nosh-on.

Note:  Leslie’s apt is tiny, so we are limiting this to only meetup members.

Directions:  Take subway to West 14th street:  E, 1,2,3.  Walk south on 8th avenue, turn right on west 11th and walk to 338 West 11th. Apt 3A

I don't have any seeds or cuttings to share for the next meet-up, but I'd like to stop by anyway to meet the group and introduce myself.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
