Re: [roofdeck] Would you consider hosting a Rooftop meetup event?

I have not attended one of your events yet and I don't have a rooftop garden.  I do have small balcony garden and a fairly large apartment attached to it ; ) I also have the key to my community garden, if that interests anyone. I live in Jersey City and the community garden that I am part of is against an embankment wall which used to be a railroad and is now covered with trees and plants. There is an effort being made to turn that embankment into a park like the high line. Anyway, not exactly what you are looking for but if you see potential or interest let me know. I haven't asked him but maybe I can get my friend to stop by. He's one of the top rosarians and a master gardener and designer. We could have cocktails at my apartment, in the community garden or at a nearby pub or restaurant by the garden.

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a good summer and successful gardens.

In preparation for the cooler weather,  Leslie and I would like to add a few more meetups to the calendar for September and October.   We currently have a few in the works and will post them soon, and we'd like to ask for your help.

Would anyone consider hosting a meetup event on their rooftop garden or rooftop outside space (before the weather gets too cold - November).

If so, you can set the requirements (date, time, # of people, type of event, possible speaker) and Leslie and I will help organize everything.   The benefits are multiple:  We get to meet and socialize with like minded gardeners and people interested in rooftop activities, the potential to hear a thought leader or subject matter expert discuss a gardening topic, view some fantastic private gardens.  and... ITS FUN!

If interested, please email Leslie or me and we will help with everything.

Josh n Leslie
