hi roof enthusiasts!

tonight it looks pretty likely that the skies will be clear enough to see the stars and planets from the roof of Pupin Hall at Columbia University. This is a free event, no reservation necessary!

There is an optional 7 p.m. lecture in the basement of Pupin Hall, then from 730-9, you are invited to go on the roof and look through the telescopes at the heavens or look around and down from this 15th floor rooftop to see a great view of upper Manhattan. Enjoy! There are grad students there to help, of course.

By the way, if skies are clear, this happens every other Friday during the academic year.

Looking very forward to getting back to roof gardens as soon as it warms up a bit...
