Can We Get Another Meeting?
Sunday, August 9, 2009 11:26 AM
Based on the success of our last meetup, our fearless leader asked me to poll the group and see if we can't manage one more meeting before the end of summer, back-to-work tide sweeps us all up -- Gordon, not to put you on the spot or anything, but would you be willing to host, and can we lure people out to the wilderness of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn once more? If we schedule after the 17th, Peter and Kathy can join us with stories from their trip to Paris.
As soon as we get a reply from Gordon (who is a garden designer and an expert at angel's trumpets, plumerias, and some of the more spectacular tropicals out there), we'll send out a post with a few dates and see which one gathers the most votes. If anyone else wants to host, give a holler; we're pretty democractic here, and the more choices we have, the better chances we have to pull a good group together. If you're not going to be around later this month, don't worry; we'll continue to set up meetings during the fall; and if there's sufficient interest, maybe we can do an informal tour of a botanic garden, nursery or farmer's market as well?
Hope everyone's enjoying the summer, and keepin' it green,
