Hello all here is all the updated info you will need on the certification.
To get your solo skydiving license you will need to go through a 10 lever course. Here is the brief breakdown.
Level 1- your very first tandem, and introduction to the sport, you will be asked to pull the cord at appropriate elevation.
Level 2- will be your second tandem; during this jump you will perform few flight maneuvers.
Level 3-is a 6hours long ground school. In this class you will be tough all you need to know about and practice for skydiving.
Level 4- is your final tandem jump; you will practice a range of maneuvers during the free fall and while parachuting.
This is where the tandems end, and the core practice and certification begins. During all the remaining steps and all the way to completion you will actually be jumping under your own canopy(parachute) the instructor will only be hanging on to you while in free fall and
Level 5-11 --will all be a solo flight with you and your instructor flying their own parachute. Each level and the maneuvers thought will typically require 2 jumps.
After your first visit and tandem each diver will be getting their own log book. It will also outline basic things you be learning during each level. At the completion of the course you will be required to do 25 solo jumps at which point you be registered with USPA and receive your A-license. This license will allow you to participate in team skydive and eventually the level will increase and we all move on to competitions and such.
50 freefall jumps--class B license.
200 jumps--class C license and ability to learn flight suit freefall. This will increase your freefall time.
500 jumps--Class D license. There are more levels ahead, and the class will increase. As you stack up more jumps, you will be able to learn and do more difficult maneuvers. Thus increasing the fun.
Now here is the pricing break down.
The tandems are a requirement no matter what drop zone we use.
The price for the first level 1 is $175
Level 2 and 4 are a bit tricky, although the original price is still $185 but as its just basically a tandem I will as if I can use the discounted price they giving me for tandems which is $175
Level 3, the ground school--$120.00
All of the following levels 5-11 AFP jumps are priced at $185.00
So the total price for the 7 levels AFP (Advanced Freefall Program) course, which is actually new and improved version of AFF (Accelerated Free Fall), comes to: $1415
Here are some links to study up for the ground school and know what to expect.

As I mentioned before, I not just want to get you all certified, I want to create a skydiving team, and a club. I already began working on a new idea, and with the help of the drop zone and the USPA I will be starting a college skydiving club. First as far as I know in NY. Once I have integrated into college, we will be competing with other colleges throughout the US and possibly other counties. Although I have to say, this will not happen quickly, the practice and getting all things together will take time.
Anyway I think that’s it for now and this Update. If anyone has any questions please call me. [masked]
Ok, ladies and Gents, join me and get certified in Solo Skydiving. If you ever wanted to get you AFF certification done this is the best opportunity for it.
For those who wish to move beyond the Tandem Skydiving experience and seek the more advanced techniques of sport skydiving, Accelrated Free fall classes are for you. AFF is the most advanced method of training new skydivers. Before your first jump you will attend a training class that lasts about four hours. This course will teach you the fundamentals of skydiving and prepare you for your first jump. Your jump is made under the direct supervision of two USPA rated AFF jumpmasters who provide direct assistance during the exit and freefall. You will have the opportunity to deploy your own parachute. Once your parachute has deployed, you will control a solo descent back to the dropzone with some assistance from the Skydive Jersey staff, via the use of our ground to air communication system.
Nothing beats the Trill, excitement and adrenaline of a Skydive. This is the ultimate test of fear, and courage anyone can bestow onto themselves.
Once you did it once, you just want to do it over and over again.
And compared to any tandem jumps, once you have AFF certificate, skydive becomes a weekly assurance. No need to shell out an arm and a leg for few jumps.
One last thing, once we get certified, we will be doing few interesting drop in all around NYC. Becoming the next daredevils and legendary Thrill seekers of this Urban Scene.
Hope you with me.
Chuck and Kenneth are running a tight shop and are the best around if you are looking for tandem or otherwise solo jump.
I understand that this is not something for regular individuals, but to become a best you can be and be able conquer your fear, this is the first step you must take.
I am not going to say anything else, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. [masked]
