We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. in the cafe at Central Market (at Lovers & Greenville) to talk about the articles that piqued each of our interests in the New Yorker magazine issues delivered during the 4 weeks before the meeting week.
And you don't have to be a New Yorker to love "The New Yorker." This is a very diverse group that has had about 125 members since its founding 5 years ago, some lifelong Texans and others from all parts.
Very informal and informative; everyone has an opinion and their favorite reads, whether arts, culture, current events, fiction or the obscurities that "The New Yorker" covers so brilliantly.
