Welcome Conversation and Cooking enthusiasts!

This group is about camaraderie and culinary exploration. Women of the Northern Virginia area are invited to participate in small cooking meetups. This group's focus will be on special diets. Any lady looking to join is welcome, however emphasis will be placed on sharing, trying, and making recipes for those with restrictions in their diet (ie. gluten-free, vegetarian, dairy allergy, diabetes, etc...)

This group is for women.  I don't mean to imply that men can't cook, but this is a women's social group.  Please join another cooking or social group if you aren't female.  Ladies, we may plan Meetups where it is ok to take your families, but by default, these Meetups will be a place for adult women to gather.  

For the most part, we will have small Meetups to cook at a members house, or assemble for cooking or a potluck type meal at another facility.  If you have a good Meetup place, please let an organizer know! :) 

Donations for the upkeep of this page are appreciated.  I do not want to charge for meetups (unless there is an actual cost for the facility we are using) Meetup does charge it's organizers to use the website, so like I said, any donations are appreciated.  In other groups, a member donation of $1 a month has worked really well.  A few dollars through Paypal would also be a great contribution (keep in mind Paypal has fees for their convenience and not all money goes straight to the group).  ALL monies will be going to the upkeep of this group (I'm not in this for profit) and will be logged in the finance section of this group.
